Welcome back to my Doctor Who reactions! In Series 9, Episode 6, “The Woman Who Lived,” Ashildr’s 800-year immortal life has left her bitter and bored, robbing as the Knightmare and chasing the Eye of Hades to escape Earth on the promise of a Leonian. The Twelfth Doctor faces her chaos, and I’m shocked! Check out my full reaction above!

A Broken Immortal

Traveling without Clara, the Doctor finds Ashildr, now calling herself “Me,” 800 years after he saved her. She’s forgotten her old self, turning cold and careless about human lives. As the Knightmare, she seeks the Eye of Hades, tricked by a Leonian into thinking it’ll free her from Earth’s monotony. Her plan to use the Doctor, no matter the cost, is chilling.

Chaos and Redemption

The Doctor refuses to take Ashildr away, sparking intense drama. Her Eye of Hades plot unleashes chaos, but a shift comes when she realizes she still cares. Ashildr uses her immortality charge on Sam the Swift, a bandit, in an unexpected redemption that moved me. This episode’s themes of loss and hope are Doctor Who at its best.
