Doctor Who Series 9, Episode 7, "The Zygon Invasion," is a wild ride, and my reaction video is live! This episode tears apart the human-Zygon peace treaty from "The Day of the Doctor," throwing the Doctor, Osgood, and Clara into chaos. Zygons are back with a vengeance, and the stakes couldn't be higher.

The episode kicks off with a reminder of the treaty, where Osgood and her Zygon double stood as its living symbol. But now, the Zygons are done playing nice. They've been secretly replacing humans for a year, and their "nightmare scenario" unfolds fast. They kidnap Osgood, neutralize UNIT troops worldwide, and even turn on their own kind, branding some Zygons as traitors. It's a shapeshifter takeover, and no one's safe.

Early on, Clara gets swapped by a Zygon, but the twist stays hidden until the final moments. I suspected it almost immediately! The episode builds to a gut-punch cliffhanger when fake Clara fires a missile at the Doctor and Osgood's plane. My reaction captures every second of shock and betrayal, and trust me, I'm still reeling from that ending.

What makes this episode awesome is how it blends tension with Doctor Who's classic moral questions. Can peace hold when trust breaks? Who's really the enemy here? The Zygons' plan is terrifying, but their motives hint at deeper pain, tying back to "The Day of the Doctor."
