The Doctor defies Time Lords and rips reality for Clara in 'Hell Bent.' See my intense reaction to this epic episode.

Greetings Whovians, DragoNate here, diving into the epic conclusion of Doctor Who Series 9 with my reaction to "Hell Bent". As the title of my video suggests, this episode sees the Doctor making a monumental decision, risking literally EVERYTHING for Clara Oswald.

Following the devastating events of "Face the Raven," the Doctor is a man on a mission fueled by grief and an unyielding love for Clara. "Hell Bent" throws all established rules out the window as the Doctor breaches Time Lord law, confronts Rassilon himself on a restored Gallifrey, and tears through the very fabric of time to try and rewrite Clara's fate.

My reaction throughout this episode was a rollercoaster of emotions. The sheer audacity of the Doctor's actions, the stunning visuals of the revived Gallifrey, and the intense confrontations had me completely captivated. Peter Capaldi delivers yet another masterful performance, showcasing the Doctor's raw determination and the immense weight of his choices.

"Hell Bent" is a controversial finale, sparking much debate among fans about the Doctor's actions and the ultimate outcome for Clara. Was he justified in risking the stability of time itself? Did Clara's story get the ending it deserved? These are just some of the questions that raced through my mind as I watched.

The Hybrid

Who and/or what is the Hybrid that threatens all of time and space? The prophesied Hybrid that will destroy a billion billion hearts to heal its own? Me (Ashildr) is truly and completely immortal and she is indeed a hybrid of 2 warrior races, human and Mire. If she truly cannot die by time alone, what happens when the universe, reality itself, runs out of time and dies?

Then there's the Doctor, who's like a metaphorical hybrid in the same sense he called Osgood(s) a hybrid because they don't accept the question of which one is Zygon and which is human. The Doctor, being a Time Lord, hangs out on Earth a LOT and spends a LOT of a time with humans, almost always with a human companion. Some of that humanness rubs off on him from time to time, so that sort of makes him a hybrid of sorts. And with his heart hurting from Clara's death plus his willingness to risk of fracturing time itself just to keep her from dying, he'd be destroying a billion billion hearts to heal his own.

Me even suggested that the Hybrid could be two people instead of one, suggesting it would be the Doctor and Clara, who's very much like him. The Doctor even said "I became the Hybrid" but aside from this, the mystery of who and/or what the Matrix prophesy's Hybrid is remains unsolved.

This episode is a testament to the powerful bond between the Doctor and his companions, exploring the lengths to which he will go for those he holds dear. It's a story of love, loss, defiance, and the enduring power of memory.
